           ...What Others Are Saying ...

"A quick read, the author did a great job of pacing the story and creating characters that were very believable and likeable as well. Pick up a copy of Once Is Never Enough if you are looking for a good murder mystery with a twist of romance. You won’t be disappointed." --Idrissa Uqdah, AALBC

Detective Lester Miller is back on the case tracking down the person attempting to run his friend out of business. Sonny Newsome owns a once prospering detective agency but someone is trying to run him out of the building. Lester is doing Sonny a favor before he leaves Chicago to work for the FBI. Lester has a feeling that threats on his ex-wives life are tied to the case. The case leads back to Cara, the lady that stole his heart and complicated his life. He would give his life to be back with her, what are the chances of that happening? This is the second novel tracking Detective Lester Miller's career and love interests. The story develops at a fast pace chronicling the tracking of criminals, politicians, and family. The characters are lovable and will draw you in forcing you to think ahead to assist in solving the mystery. Shivers does an exceptional job at linking the characters and story together making you use your imagination. If you love suspense, this is definitely a book for your library --Delta Reviewer

"Her characters are well presented with unique personalities and the plot is told through their eyes. With her own style of inventiveness the author has chosen to end the book with some questions to ponder or discuss. Touching on passion, crime, revenge and more, the plot follows smoothly and I found it to be a great read." --Cheryl Ellis, Allbooks Reviews

"Margie Gosa Shivers has done an excellent job with the storyline, and the characters all shine with their unique personalities. I especially liked Jennifer's mother Gayle Nichols. At 51 she is doing her thang... with the much younger Giles...you go girl! I enjoyed this book, if you are looking for a story with murder and revenge with a colorful cast of characters, this book is for you." --Locksie, ARC BOOK CLUB INC

Once Is Never Enough is an impressive addition to the world of suspense. Shivers does a solid job of presenting believable characters in realistic situations that transpire everyday. Whether we like it or not, the world of politics is a shadowy one at best, and those of us who live our lives outside the realm of its typical machinations would often be shocked to know the real goings-on behind the scenes. In her compelling, fast-moving tale, Shivers delivers a excellent commentary of political intrigue at its worst, a la Devil In A Blue Dress. With enough diversions to keep you guessing til the very end, Once Is Never Enough is guaranteed to entertain. --Toni Watson, Apex Reviews

The action and emotional depth takes the readers on an emotional roller coaster ride that won’t be easily forgotten." --Sonya of Fallen Angel Reviews

Margie Gosa Shivers gets every possible inch out of each of her characters. There is enough death, corruption and betrayal to satisfy any reader." --Brenda A. Snodgrass, Curled Up With A Good Book

Lester Miller gets the job done.  If you enjoy court cases and solving mysteries you have come across the right book. Margie Gosa Shivers will start you off to a slow pace and then take you right into some drama you think that it's going to be a slow ride but then you're into so much drama you don't know what hit you. But Cecil is that brother on the street corner that just run the hood.  I love this book especially because I am from Chicago.   I can relate to the areas.  You go Margie... a must read!  After reading it you would want it to be a sequel.
